Also use an email address that is outside the domain name. for example if you are registering www. mysite.com try not to use info@ mysite.com as your contact email. I just got off the phone with a client of mine who registered his new domain name and he did exactly that. The first time he tried to login, he forgot his password.he could not receive the forgotpassword email to reset his password.  He had to spend time with technical support to get his email address changed so he could receive the password change via email.
